What is StarRupture?

StarRupture is a sci-fi survival game combining base building with shooter elements, developed by the Polish studio Creepy Jar, previously known for Green Hell. You work on behalf of a corporation on a hostile planet and are tasked with exploiting its resources – against the environment, against the native creatures and against the clock.

At the core of the game is building a production chain: you set up mining facilities, connect them with conveyor belts and pipes, automate further processing and expand your base step by step into a self-sustaining factory. Alongside that you research new technologies and upgrade your equipment.

Combat plays a major role as well. The creatures of the planet attack your facilities, so you have to plan defences and actively protect your base. On top of that, devastating storms regularly sweep across the surface, forcing you to seek shelter in time and to design your buildings accordingly.

StarRupture can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players on a shared server. For multiplayer there is a dedicated server that is joined by entering the IP address and port directly – the game does not have a server browser.

StarRupture entered Early Access on 6 January 2026, with version 1.0 planned for 2027. The game is available on PC via Steam.
