What is Counter-Strike 2? ​

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is a tactical multiplayer first-person shooter by Valve and the official successor to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The game runs on the Source 2 engine and features improved graphics, enhanced gameplay and new mechanics.

Two teams — Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists — compete in round-based matches. Depending on the game mode, players must plant or defuse bombs, rescue hostages or eliminate opponents. Between rounds, players use earned money to buy weapons and equipment.

CS2 offers various game modes such as Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, Wingman and Arms Race. The Competitive mode is the core of the game and forms the foundation of the professional esports scene.
