What is Necesse?

Necesse is a 2D top-down sandbox adventure game developed by Fair Games Studio. The game world is procedurally generated and consists of numerous biomes, cave systems, dungeons and islands that you are free to explore.

Exploration, gathering, crafting and combat are at the heart of the game. You mine resources, turn them into tools, weapons and armor, set up a base and take on powerful bosses. Every boss you defeat and every new area you reach unlocks further materials and equipment tiers.

Building your own settlement is a core element. You recruit settlers, assign them jobs such as farming, mining or crafting, and defend your settlement against attacks. Over time this creates a base that keeps working even while you are out adventuring.

Necesse can be played solo or together in co-op multiplayer. For permanent shared play there is a dedicated server that keeps your world available around the clock. The game is available on PC via Steam.
