What is Myth of Empires?

Myth of Empires is an open-world sandbox survival game by developer Angela Game, set in ancient East Asia. You start out without any equipment in a vast world of plains, forests, mountains and river valleys and work your way up from a simple gatherer to the lord of your own fortress.

Gathering, crafting and base building are at the core of the game. You cut wood, mine ore, farm the land and use workbenches, forges and workshops to produce weapons, armor, tools and siege equipment. Over time, simple huts turn into fortified compounds with walls, gates and towers.

Combat focuses on melee with swords, spears and axes as well as archery – both on foot and from horseback. Mounts can be tamed and bred, and NPC soldiers can be recruited and deployed as guards, workers or troops. Later in the game, players join guilds, claim territory for themselves and fight large-scale siege battles over towns and fortresses.

On your own server you set the rules: gathering and experience rates, PvP behavior, building heights and many more values can be adjusted. Multiple servers can also be linked into one connected world whose maps players can travel between.

Myth of Empires launched in Early Access in 2021 and is available on PC via Steam. Besides playing on public servers, it supports running your own server where you build a world of your own together with your guild or your friends.
