What is PixARK?

PixARK is an open world survival game by Snail Games that combines the dinosaur world of ARK Survival Evolved with a voxel landscape built entirely out of blocks. The world is generated procedurally and can be mined and reshaped block by block, which makes it feel considerably more free than its template.

Survival, taming and building are at the core of the game. You gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build bases out of blocks and tame creatures that then serve you as mounts, pack animals and fighters. On top of that come role playing elements such as skill trees, magic and quests that guide you through the different biomes of the world.

The world is divided into distinct biomes – from forests and deserts to swamps, underground cave systems and floating islands. Each biome comes with its own resources, enemies and tameable creatures.

PixARK launched in Early Access in 2018 and reached its full release in 2019. The game supports single player as well as multiplayer on a shared server and is available for PC via Steam.
