What is HumanitZ?

HumanitZ is a survival game set in a world overrun by a zombie outbreak, played from a top-down perspective. You start without equipment in an open sandbox world and have to hold your own against the undead, hunger, thirst and illness while searching towns, farms and abandoned military sites for supplies.

At the core of the game are exploration, looting and survival. You gather resources, craft weapons and equipment, repair vehicles to cover longer distances, build yourself a safe shelter and set up fields to sustain yourself in the long run. Every trip into populated areas is a trade-off between loot and risk, because noise attracts zombies.

You create your character yourself at the start: you choose a profession that determines your starting gear and your strengths, as well as an affliction that gives you a permanent weakness. Both shape how survival feels during the first hours.

HumanitZ supports singleplayer as well as multiplayer on a shared server – both cooperative and with PvP. On your own dedicated server you play together with friends on a permanently stored world that persists even when nobody is online. The game is available on PC via Steam.
