What is Citadel Forged with Fire?

Citadel Forged with Fire is an open-world sandbox role-playing game developed by Blue Isle Studios. You play a mage who awakens in the fantasy world of Ignus and has to make a name for themselves there – through sorcery, exploration and by building up their own base of power.

Magic and progression are at the core of the game. You gather resources, craft staves, armour and spells, and unlock increasingly powerful abilities as you level up. Instead of classic weapon categories, your equipment determines which schools of magic are available to you – from fire and lightning spells all the way to summoning.

On top of that comes an extensive building system: simple wooden huts grow into entire castles with towers, walls and workshops. You tame mounts and creatures, travel through the skies on a broom and explore a large, connected game world with dungeons, ruins and boss enemies.

On your own server you can play the world together – either as a peaceful building project or with PvP battles over territory and fortresses. Citadel Forged with Fire launched into Early Access in 2018, left it in 2019 with the full release and is available on PC via Steam.
