What is Squad 44? ​

Squad 44 (formerly known as Post Scriptum) is a realistic multiplayer tactical shooter set during World War II. Developed by Mercury Arts and Offworld Industries, the game features large-scale battles with up to 80 players, combined arms warfare and a strong focus on teamwork and communication.

In Squad 44, players take on the role of Allied or Axis soldiers and fight in historically inspired battles — from Operation Market Garden to the snowy forests of the Ardennes. Squads of multiple players work together to capture objectives, build supply chains and break through enemy positions. Vehicles such as tanks, half-tracks and troop transports play a central role.

Unlike arcade shooters, Squad 44 puts a strong emphasis on realism: movement, ballistics, radio communication and building supply points require coordination and patience. Squad leaders and commanders issue orders, coordinate attacks and make sure the team works towards the shared objective.

Squad 44 is available on PC via Steam and is aimed at players looking for a tactical, team-based shooter with historical authenticity.
