Rust
What is Rust?
Rust is a multiplayer survival game developed by Facepunch Studios. Players wake up naked and empty-handed on a dangerous shoreline and must fight to survive in a hostile open world. The primary goal: gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build a base — and outlast other players.
At the core of Rust are hardcore PvP survival, base building and raid mechanics. Players collect wood, stone and metal, construct shelter, acquire food and upgrade their equipment. At the same time they must contend with hunger, cold, wildlife and especially other players, who can raid their base at any time.
The game world is a procedurally generated open map with forests, deserts, mountains and abandoned military complexes. Rust supports both solo play and large-scale multiplayer with up to hundreds of players per server. Using mod frameworks like uMod, servers can be extensively customized and extended with additional plugins.
Rust is aimed at fans of uncompromising survival experiences who enjoy challenge, competition and social dynamics. The game is available on PC via Steam as well as on consoles (separate Rust Console Edition).
