What is Smalland Survive the Wilds?

Smalland Survive the Wilds is a survival game in which you survive as a tiny member of the Smallfolk in a giant natural world. Blades of grass become forests, raindrops become hazards and insects become enemies you face at eye level.

Exploration, crafting and base building are at the core of the game. You gather resources, craft tools, armor and weapons at crafting stations and build shelters in trees, under roots or against rock faces. Structures deteriorate over time if they are not maintained – on your own server this deterioration can be switched off.

Taming is a special element: many of the creatures in the world can be tamed and used as companions or mounts. On top of that there is a day and night cycle as well as changing seasons that noticeably alter the world and its inhabitants, plus storms that make survival even harder.

Smalland Survive the Wilds can be played solo or together with other players on a server. Since December 2023 the developer provides official dedicated server files, so a world can stay online permanently – even when nobody from the group is currently playing. Crossplay was added in May 2025, allowing players on different platforms to play together on one server.

The game is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, plus versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
